Seychelles Government 2020
Development of a Strategic Management Framework for sustainable use Marine Protected Areas in Seychelles 2020 - 2021

Provided ocean governance expertise to develop a strategic framework that will guide the development and implementation of management plans for sustainable-use MPAs designated under the Seychelles marine spatial plan. The specific objectives of the assignment are to:
  • facilitate stakeholder agreement on defining spatially explicit management framework and management units that are robust in ecological and socioeconomic terms while also practical in terms of institutional mandates and capabilities as well as implementation.
  • produce a strategic framework for the development and implementation of management plans that addresses the specificities of management units and ensures harmonisation with MSP and other policy objectives, economies of scale and efficiencies in implementation 
Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States 2019
Caribbean Regional Oceanscape Project – Developing National Ocean Policies and Strategies

Delivered training to the the governments of St Lucia, St Kitts and Nevis, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Dominica and Grenada on marine spatial planning and how this can be used to further the development of a Blue Economy and the delivery of their National Ocean Policies, also developed through this project.
Marine Management Organisation, England 2018-2019
External decision making and implementation mapping of marine plans

Delivered an institutional analysis of UK marine and maritime policy. Identification of the policy and delivery institutional framework for all government policy outcomes affecting England’s marine plan areas. Development of standardised decision making process maps and recommendations of how marine plans should be used in in these key processes and how they can be applied effectively where decisions involve multiple bodies. Recommendations on a proposed approach to engaging bodies in joint-working.
Welsh Government 2018
Guidance and implementation of the Welsh National Marine Plan

Marine policy advisor to Welsh Government on how to produce guidance on the implementation of the Welsh National Marine Plan to support the Blue Economy.
E.ON Energy 2018
Marine planning implications for offshore wind
Technical advisor to E.ON on the marine planning and consenting implications for the Rampion extension. This work analysed marine planning constraints to provide a strategic assessment of the preferred location for a future wind farm with regards to consenting risk.
